The blog has gotten a little Nataly heavy lately. So here are a few pics to help even out the number of Lucy pics.
Lucy and I were playing outside on the patio. Just running around and playing with all the new toys. They aren't new, it has just been so long since she saw them and she thinks they are new. It's pretty funny.

New Boots
So I got a new pair of rain boots for work. The job sites are always muddy and I was tired of messing up my dress shoes. When I got home, I did what every 42 year old guy does with new rain boots. I went outside to play in the rain. I took Nataly out to jump in some puddles with me. It was raining outside and it was perfect timing.I had as much fun as she did.
It is so much more dramatic in slow motion.

Bike Day at School
Yesterday at Nataly's school was a fundraiser for St Judes. All of the kids got to bring their bikes into school and could ride them around in the gym. All of the classes had a set period of time to do as many laps as they could. It wasn't a race, but some of the kids thought it was. One of the boys even started crying because he couldn't go fast enough to keep up. It wasn't his fault, his trike had small wheels and wasn't meant to go fast. He ended up quitting and watching from the sidelines.
Nataly had a blast. She decided that she wanted to ride her trike instead of her Strider. So I cleaned it up and brought it to school. We did move the light from her bike to the trike. So there was a little flair. One of the kids even had a GoPro on his trike to record the whole thing. I wish I had thought of that. I'll do it for Lucy when it's her turn. Nobody will ever know I stole the idea from the dad in Nataly's class.

Here she is listening to the pre-race rules.
On your marks.
Get set!
She couldn't contain her excitement.
This young man is Charlie. He loves Nataly and her hair. He is constantly playing with her hair. His mom says it calms him down. It's harmless, I think.
This went on for a long time. Nataly doesn't seem to care and keeps going along with her business.
They look like an old married couple here.

Nataly and Daddy Time
Yesterday Nataly and I went to the Children's Museum by ourselves. No mommy and no Lucy. We had a blast. We played in the grocery store, drove the bus, played with blocks on a conveyor belt and lifted girders with the crane. It was really nice to have time with just the two of us.

Dance Recital
Yesterday was Nataly's first dance recital. We weren't sure how she would react to the bright lights and all of the people in the audience. She wasn't quite sure what to make of the whole thing. She is so used to practicing in a small little studio with mirrors and only 4 other kids in her class. Turns out that nothing bothered her she did great and put on quite a show. It's hard to tell from the pictures who is actually doing the correct dance. Some of them are standing when they are supposed to sitting and some are kicking when they are supposed to be clapping. It was pretty funny to see 5 little girls in bumble bee costumes on the stage doing 5 different dances.
Here is a video of the last half of the dance. Nataly is the second girl from the right...in case you couldn't spot the hair.

Nataly's Special Day at Preschool
I can dress myself
Here is what happens when you let Nataly pick out her entire outfit. She loved it and was so happy and comfortable in it.
