Here is what happens when you let Nataly pick out her entire outfit. She loved it and was so happy and comfortable in it.

Nice hats! They look ridiculous, but they are warm and the girls love them. Nataly's has sentimental value because it was a gift from Grandma Gladys. She loves that hat and wears it everywhere. If she loses it we are in trouble.

That is the beginning of the best snow fort I have built in probably 30 years. The snow was perfect for using the block maker. I told the girls the fort was for them, but everyone knows it was for me. Hard to tell who is the kid sometimes.

Set her in the snow and she stays there. She cant walk with all of those layers on.

They helped me fill buckets for the snow fort. Nataly was responsible for all the decorations on the top of the walls.

Back to Christmas

I was reminded that I needed to put up Christmas pictures of the girls. I also had some pics of Nataly's first Christmas concert to put up. So we are going back in time a few weeks. Hold on to your hats.

There are about 150 kids up on that stage all singing the same song and most of them behaving pretty good. It is amazing to watch that many kids all sit still and listen to the teachers.

 There she is, listening intently on what to sing next.

 After the concert she took Grandpa John and Rosemary to her classroom. She was so proud.

 Santa came to our house on Christmas Eve. Nataly was shocked that he showed up and was on her best behavior. She wasn't sure what to make of the whole thing. She was actually speechless.

 Here she is telling Santa that the only thing she wants for Christmas is a Dora Cutting Book. I hope the elves can pull it off, it was the only thing that she really wanted.

 Lucy on the other hand was not amused by the guy in the red suit. She refused to go near him. She stayed across the room and clung to mom.

That must be one cool toy. They both have the same look.

 Look, look, look. Santa brought me the Gup X. I love it. It's exactly what I wanted.

Lets go sledding

We bundled everyone up and went outside to hit the slopes one last time before it got super cold. Lucy made it about 10 minutes and she looked cold so mom took her home. Nataly made it about half an hour and we came home because we had an accident with a tree sledding.

She ran into the tree in the video a few posts ago. Sometimes I forget that she is only 3. She wants to sled by herself and not with dad, but in hindsight I should have said no and went down the hill with her. She only knows how to go straight. She just hangs onto the sled and goes where ever it takes her. Even if that is towards a tree. This time down the hill she was doing just fine at first and then headed towards the only tree on the hill. I was yelling at her to jump off from the top of the hill, but it was too little too late. She ran into the tree and bumped her head. I ran down there and at first thought she was fine because she wasn't crying..yet. Then I saw the scrape on her head and the tears started flowing. I carried her all the way home and mom took over from there.

I still feel horrible about letting that happen to her. I guess I need to protect her a little more and remember that even though she is a big girl, she's only 3. I'm sorry honey.

Children's Museum and Coffee

One of Nataly's favorite things to do, is go the the Children's Museum. If Lucy could talk, I'm sure she would agree. They have a blast playing in the bubbles and running around.

 

She would play in the water all day if she could. You should see her at bath time, she goes crazy until she can jump in.

Lucy caught a lunker.

Almost everyday Nataly helps me make a cup of coffee. I get a coffee and she gets a cup of hot cocoa. She pushes all of the buttons and knows exactly what to do next. She can grind the beans, warm up the machine, froth the milk and pour it all together. The other day she told me "Some day I'm going to be better than you".
