The Shrine Circus
Uncle Brett wanted to take the girls and I to the circus. So, last week we all went along with Auntie Anna. It was a ton of fun! The had all kinds of activities before, at intermission and afterwards. I told Brett that Nataly probably won't want to go on the elephant so don't plan on it. Well when we got there Brett asked Nataly if she wanted to go on a pony ride. She said, "No, I want to go on that!" She pointed to the elephant ride. I was shocked! Nataly was bound and determined to get on the elephant. Of course it was the loooongest line there. So, before we couldn't get on it. We had to get to our seats. The first have was full of excitement. Lions, tigers, horses, elephants and women climbing up ropes and twirling around. That is so serious arm strength. Then there were women twirling around hula hoops up to 15 at least at one time. Lucy and Nataly were having a blast. At some points they were having more fun with the special light up wands than the circus but who cares right? You are at the circus. Plus, you have to have a light up toy during the circus. Then intermission came. A 15 mintue one to say the least. It probably took us that long just to get onto the floor. Then we had to buy the ticket in one line then get into another line for the elephant ride. The line once again was super long. To say it again we didn't get on the elephant during intermission. We had our ticket at least. Nataly got her picture taken with a clown but Lucy didn't want any
part of the clown. She didn't even want her big sister near him. Too
scary. She got pretty upset. So the second half came. We had trapeeze artists, more girls on ropes, the pink poodles and more elephants. They even had dirt bike riders inside a big globe riding around each other. Pretty cool. Then we had to leave our seats early just so we could get down to the floor and in line for the elephant ride. We had been here way too long. We were going on 3 hours! Yes, 3 hours at the circus is plenty. So, we rushed in line and Nataly and Brett were third in line. Nataly rode the elephant by herself! No Uncle Brett. The guy put her right in the front too. She was so excited. When I asked her what it was like she said, "It was bumpy" and proceeded to demonstrate how it was. All in all we had a ton of fun. Thanks Uncle Brett for taking us to the circus! We had a blast with you and Auntie Anna!
