I've had these pictures on my phone for a while and have meant to post them. They are from the past couple of months and are not in any particular order.

 I had to run to a customers restaurant to fix something last weekend. I brought Nataly because she likes the restaurant and knew there would be treats involved. She wasn't disappointed. This is a picture of the aftermath of her devouring part of a chocolate chip cookie.

 Nataly had a birthday party a few weeks ago and everyone got to take a swing at the pinata. Here she is in action. It looks like a harder swing than it actually was. I think she made contact, but she didnt break it.

All of the girls that are old enough swinging on the swingset and the adults hanging around drinking beer. Looks good to me.

Happy Easter

For those of you that don't know, the van broke down in Tulsa and we ended up staying a few extra days while it got fixed. It was a little bit of a pain, but it didnt put a damper on our fun. In fact I think it helped. We got to stay a little longer to play with the cousins and visit a few more coffee shops. I don't know how we could have had a better time.

Before we go any farther I'd like to thank everyone for adapting for our extended stay in Tulsa. Being in Tulsa also meant that Grandma and Grandpa had to bring Easter dinner to Tulsa. A giant change in plans, but it went off without a hitch. Thank you very much for all of your work mom and dad. I'd also like to thank the Wings of Tulsa for letting us take over their house for 4 extra days. The chaos was great for us and I hope you guys feel the same. Thanks again.

If any picture captures the energy of the weekend, this is it. I don't think any of the kids sat still for more than a minute. They were so happy to be together and chased each other around the house, park or down the sidewalk. Don't get me wrong though. These are a couple of 2 year olds and a 5 year old. So there was a little bit of drama over toys and sharing. But we didn't take pictures of that.

It's tough to tell what this picture is of. But once I tell you, you will see it. It is Nataly and Lilly having a sleepover. They both slept on the floor in the same bed together. It worked out really well.

This picture is just after Nataly bent down to smell these flowers. She tripped and ended up yanking them out of the ground. The look on Lilly's face says it all. We got away from that house in a hurry.

Here is the picnic that the girls had while we figured out what to do with the van. That's the flatbed tow truck in the background. Ray (the tow truck driver) was great. He let me drive his GMC pickup truck back to Tulsa so we could all get back. Then when we got to Tulsa he took the van to the shop and put his GMC truck back on the flatbed. He solved the huge problem of getting everyone back to Tulsa being short one vehicle. Amazingly generous for him to let a complete stranger drive his truck around. Great guy.

Nataly and Uncle Aaron. We were in Tulsa so long that Nataly got used to having everyone around. We were walking through the Mayo Hotel and Nataly got worried because she didn't know where Uncle Aaron was. Turned out he was right behind her, what a relief.

 Here is a picture of what Aaron and I did a lot of. This was our escape and we usually had a couple of kids with us. You know you are getting old when you stop going to bars with your brother and going to coffee shops is your thing to do. Tulsa has some seriously good coffee shops and we hit up most of them. We are coffee snobs and don't do Starbucks or any franchises. I lost count of exactly how many different coffee shops we went to, but I would guess 6. Some of those we went to multiple times. I loved it. It was great to sit back and relax and talk to my little brother. It doesn't happen that often.

Operation No More Sound

I'm not sure who reads this blog, so some of you might already know this story.

When we were kids, my dad used to take apart our Walkmans so the volume wouldn't go to 11. They would only go to 5 or 6. He did this so he wouldn't have to to hear our music while we were in the car and to protect our ears. I think it was mostly for the first reason. So it got me thinking. I hate all of the toys the kids have that make noise. This this little treasure in the picture was particularly annoying. I think the toy will be perfect for Lucy in the car. So I was torn. Should I return it to Target or throw it away. Then it came to me, take it apart and make it so it doesn't make any noise anymore. That's what I did. Five minutes later, no more noise and I love the toy.

We dance alot around here and I think you will recognize the song. Someone taught Nataly a new move. Stick around to the end of the video for it.

 

Uncle Aaron called and was talking to Nataly. I think they were talking about what color the artwork is that she has in her hands. It's pretty funny because you can have a conversation with her. She usually loses interest before you are done talking to her. So if you call for her, make it short and sweet. Because she doesn't have time to chit chat.

Lucy Laughing

During tubby time yesterday Nataly was messing around and all of the sudden Lucy started laughing. It was the first time we have heard her laugh so it was pretty exciting.

Today has been spent trying to get Lucy to do it again. Nataly keeps yelling at her "laugh at me!" It hasn't worked yet, but Nataly keeps yelling it.

I want cauliflower!!

Here's a little melt down that Nataly had when we tried to serve her broccoli for dinner last night. It is not what you expect.
