The Saints

Grandma and Grandpa invited us over to St Paul to partake in the Worlds Largest Game of Catch. It was not like the name would lead you to believe. It was an event hosted by the St Paul Saints with games for the kids and soft baseballs to throw around. It was a blast. The Saints players are all about 25 years old and I would doubt if any of them had kids. But these guys were great with our kids and I was amazed. These guys would have played catch with the girls for hours and I dont think it was because they had to. They looked like they were genuinely having a good time too and it didn't seem like work.

The girls had all of the players sign a baseball. It was funny watching them walk up the guys and ask for an autograph. At first they were very timid and shy. But after a few they were running up to the guys and giving them hugs and high fives when they were done.

Each girl also developed a favorite player.
Here is LW's favorite.

Here is NW's favorite. She went up to him and asked him if he would play catch with her. He would have played catch with her forever. He was a great sport.

How cute. Her, not him.
This was the organized game of catch. LW played catch with the manager of the Saints and NW played catch with the pitching coach. Grandma and Grandpa played catch with each other. It was great.

Here they are again. #23 was standing behind NW and encouraging her to throw high and tight. Give him a little chin music. He was calling her by name and told her to come and say hi at the next game.
