What a surprise it was. Not for us but for Jim and Bonnie!

This weekend was filled with lots of activities. We had Eric's parents in town for the weekend. They thought they were coming up for our niece's baptism but there was none. We talked, ate a TON, and did work around the house. Eric and Jim hung our new storm doors while Bonnie and I did some work around the yard and ran to get popcorn at Dave's. mmmmm...... Dave's popcorn is awesome! I never got into popcorn until I met the Wings. They love it! Now I do too.

On Friday all 4 of us went to Lucky 13 to celebrate Jim's 60th birthday. We enjoyed peanuts and of course popcorn. Then on Saturday after an afternoon of doing yard work and taking about 4 hours to hang a storm door we went to have dinner at Chiang Mia Thai with Aaron, Kari and Lilly the night before the so called baptism. Well to Jim and Bonnie's surprise it wasn't the 7 of us for dinner it was about 30 of their friends and family to celebrate 3 major milestones in their lives. It was their 60th birthdays, 40th wedding anniversary and now they are both retired! How amazing is that. We all had a fabulous evening. We caught up with family and friends we just haven't connected with in a while. It was so wonderful to see everyone here for Jim and Bonnie. It turned into such a nice night.

The next morning we had breakfast and Aaron, Kari and Lilly came over to eat just before they got on the road for a long drive back to Tulsa. We were able to chat about the night before and to play with Lilly before they all had to leave. Aaron had ran the Grandma's 1/2 marathon on Saturday morning then drove down to the cities to get everyone ready for the big surprise. Then for him to sit in a car for 10 hours the next day to go home. My hat goes off to all 3 of them for doing all that running around. Plus for Lilly to be such a good sport through it all.
